Holiday Beauty Tips

First things first... Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Mo and Me! We hope you are all looking forward to a wonderful holiday with plenty of peace and love to go around.

With that being said, the holidays are also a time of frivolity, and you deserve to celebrate with some cookies and drinks and fun! But here are just a few things to be mindful of that can help you take better care of your skin over these next several days.

  1. Stay Hydrated. Water, water, water! In the midst of all the juices and champagne and eggnog, be sure to have your fair share of water, too. Drinking enough water helps to keep our skin clear and free of toxins, and you should drink one final glass of water before heading to bed.

  2. Practice Self Care. During the holidays, it's easy to get a bit stressed out when you're shopping for everyone else and making sure everyone is taken care of and happy. But what about yourself? Do something kind for yourself too, even if it's as simple as getting enough sleep at night.

  3. Skip the Alcohol Some Days. We're not saying you shouldn't treat yourself and have some wine or some spiked eggnog! We're just saying that it's easy to drink more than usual during the holidays thanks to all the good cheer going on. Every few days, take a "recovery" day so your body can destress and rehydrate.

  4. Eat Nutrient-Rich Foods. Lastly, eat some good foods with plenty of nutrients in addition to the sweets and savory treats! Choose some foods that contain Vitamins C and E and some with omega-3 fatty acids. These will help keep your diet more balanced this season, and you'll feel better too.
